![]() Once a player completes a certain amount of laps, they win. There are items that can be collected to help you or hinder your opponent. Each coin a player collects moves their character 1 space ahead. In this mode, you play 3 different minigames which all have some way of collecting coins. The second, and so far my favorite mode, is Coinathlon. After all the bosses are defeated the person with the most stars or the most coins if there is a tie in stars wins. The person who wins the boss fight gets a star or two stars if it is the last boss. The first person to reach to boss space gets to fight the boss while everyone else starts later. Each map has 3 to 5 bosses that appear on set spaces. For example, Mario’s dice block has the numbers 0, 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 while Waluigi’s has – 2 coins, – 2 coins, 6, 6, 6, 6.Īlong with ally characters, bosses appear randomly. Each ally has a different dice block that they roll. There are many coins found around the board.Īlly characters appear every so often and if collected they help you. The boards in this mode are made up of many squares and you can move in any direction. In contrast to the other Mario Parties, every player rolls the dice and moves at the same time. In this game, you play as one of the 4 colored toads: red, blue, green and yellow. Toad Scramble is the first mode available, and the main mode of the game. So far, I have only unlocked the first 2 modes and those are the ones I will be talking about. When you first start the game, only one game mode is unlocked but as you play more your Party Level increases and more things are unlocked.
